Design Technology
Who isn’t curious about how things work, how things are made, the process to the product? Design and Technology is all around us and as a school we strive to shape the designers, engineers and innovators of the future.
We encourage our little engineers to make things that work and make things that work better through play-based equipment such as Lego and Connex. We supply an array of materials for the budding chef or the teenage designer who we support to think creatively, solve problems and apply the right principles in practical ways. Woodworking, 3D modelling, and textiles are personal projects that include skills such an analytical thinking and presentation and helps our students build self-esteem and a sense of satisfaction.
For some children the practical nature of Design and Technology can be a good starting point when attending the hospital school for the first time.
