New Neurodiversity Navigator service from Children and Family Health Devon27 February 2025 (by Rachael Stocks (Rachael)) |
Is your child waiting for a neurodiversity assessment through Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD)?
Livewell Southwest, in partnership with CFHD, are piloting a new Neurodiversity Navigator service to provide support and guidance to Families and Young People who are currently awaiting neurodiversity assessment. Their offer extends to anyone between the ages of 0-18, who has a Devon GP.
The support they can offer includes signposting to local services, supporting parents/carers with completing forms, accessing help and attending workshops. and personalised advice around current needs such as recurring sleep problems, school and learning difficulties, low-level anxiety, and positive-behaviour strategies.
For further information, please see the leaflet, or contact the Neurodiversity Navigator team by email:
livewell.devonndnavigators@nhs.net
The team are seeking feedback from young people, their parents/carers, and the professionals closely working with them, about their experiences of the waiting list and the diagnostic process. This will enable the team to identify the specific needs of families for tailored support.
